The ERC Advanced Grants address active researchers who have a track-record of significant research achievements in the last 10 years and who want to pursue a ground-breaking, ambitious project (funding: up to EUR 2.5 Mio. for up to five years). The ERC Synergy Grants address groups of two to maximum four researchers who want to address a research problem so ambitious, that it cannot be dealt with by one researcher and their team alone (funding: up to EUR 10 Mio. for up to six years). The event is organized by TU Berlin's EU Office and is open to researchers from the Berlin University Alliance (Charité, FU Berlin, HU Berlin, TU Berlin).
