QS Ranking 2015: Freie Universität Berlin Is One of the Top Five Universities in Germany
University Moves Up to Rank 119 Worldwide

According to the prestigious QS World University Ranking, Freie Universität is among the five best universities in Germany. In the same ranking last year, the university was tenth in Germany. In the ranking, which was published on Tuesday in London, Freie Universität was ranked 119 worldwide. In Germany, four universities performed better: Technische Universität München (Rank 60), the University of Heidelberg (66), Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (75), and the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT, Rank 93).
Six indicators were evaluated: the academic reputation of the institution, the number of citations by researchers, the ratio between students and faculty, the reputation of graduates among employers, and the international composition of faculty and students.
