Academic Calendar
The Academic Calendar contains the most important dates for each semester. This includes deadlines for applying, enrolling, and renewing your registration, as well as the official lecture periods and lecture-free periods.
The academic year at Freie Universität Berlin is divided into two semesters. Each semester is further divided into a lecture period and a lecture-free period. Examinations typically take place during the last week of the lecture period or the first week of the lecture-free period.
