Hi, my name is CheWei!

I am originally from Taiwan, and I moved to Berlin around a year ago in 2021. I’m studying at FU for my Bachelor’s degree in North American Studies. My degree is really interesting as I get to study economics, political science, and sociology with a focus on America. I like to discuss politics and our society in and out of the classroom as well.

Besides studying, you can find me in operas, museums, and parks. Berlin is just so wonderful with its culture and art scene, but it also has plenty of space for nature. Also, you can catch me in many different kinds of restaurants indulging in delicious cuisines because I am extremely passionate (and deadly serious!) when it comes to food.

When it’s not exam season, I travel a lot since I love exploring different cities and countries that I haven’t been to. Seeing all the different cultures with their unique arts, history, architecture, music, food, (and much more!) is just absolutely fascinating to me. Last year, I went to Belgium, Spain, Poland, Czechia, and Türkiye! Coming to Germany has been such a journey for me. I’ve learned and grown a lot since I began my study at FU Berlin, and I hope to pass on my knowledge and experience to you.
