Antidiscrimination Support

The Diversity and Antidiscrimination Office offers confidential counseling in cases of discrimination and can help you to reflect on an incident and develop potential strategies for moving forward.

General Students’ Committee (AStA): Counseling for BIPoC Students and International Students

Peer counseling for BIPoC students and international students who have experienced racism and structural discrimination within the university system and beyond.

Counseling in Cases of Sexualized Harassment, Discrimination, and Violence

The central office and other contact points offer confidential as well as anonymous counseling (on request) in cases of sexual assault (including stalking).

General Students’ Committee (AStA): Queerfeminist Peer Support

Peer counseling for all queer and questioning LGBTQIA+ people. Counseling on diversity and gender (identity), sexual and romantic orientation, and confidential support for those transitioning or coming out.

Women’s Representatives/Gender Equality Officers

The Gender*Equality Team and women’s representatives/gender equality officers provide confidential advising on programs that promote and support women and sexual minorities at Freie Universität Berlin and are a point of contact for people who have experienced gender-based discrimination.

Peer counseling for women to support students who have experienced or witnessed sexualized harassment, discrimination, or violence.

Counseling for Students Who Have Disabilities and Chronic Illnesses

The team supports prospective students and current students who have disabilities and chronic illnesses and offers one-on-one counselings.

Special Advisor and Contact Person for University Members Impacted by Antisemitism

Confidential and, if necessary, anonymous counseling for those affected and people who have witnessed anti-Semitic incidents.
