Ernst-Reuter-Day, held at the beginning of December, is an annual celebration of the founding anniversary of Freie Universität Berlin. Members of the university, alumni, friends, and supporters are cordially invited to celebrate the conclusion of the 75th anniversary year together.

Prof. Dr. Gesine Schwan will givt the keynote address "What is Truth, Justice, and Freedom in the Age of Fake News? (Was sollen Wahrheit, Gerechtigkeit und Freiheit im Zeitalter von Fake News?)“ and the exhibition "Pioneers of Knowledge. The Nobel Laureates of the Max Planck Society (Pioniere des Wissens. Die Nobelpreisträger*innen der Max-Planck-Gesellschaft)" will be opened.
