Lise Meitner, twice a migrant, voluntarily and un-voluntarily, the first woman, who became a professor of physics in Germany. A woman in an unusual field for her time. Starting from the discovery of Nuclear Fission in 1938 the play shows moments of Lise Meitner‘s professional career and how her everyday working life and research changed in political extreme situations. Core Issues - KERNFRAGEN brings Lise Meitner back into the auditorium, transforming it to a stage, showing the biography of one of the most important female scientists of the 20th century in Germany by means of acting, music and light projections. The project is a cooperation of science and art in the performance as well as in the development of the play.
