Future skills are key competences for shaping the uncertain future. Some of them we have known for many years, others are rather new.

In the workshop, we will look at the following future skills: Classic competences: Ability to find solutions; Creativity; Entrepreneurial behaviour + initiative; Intercultural communication; Resilience; Transformative competences; Ability to make judgements; Mission orientation; Change competence; Ability to engage in dialogue and conflict

Our students face many challenges, including shaping the social transformation towards ecological, economic and social sustainability, digitalisation and the integration of AI into all areas of life. We teachers must equip them with scientifically sound theories, concepts and tools and help them to develop a scientific attitude.

The workshop will address the following questions: What skills, abilities, attitudes, readiness do our students need to be able to shape an uncertain future? Which future skills / key qualifications should students work on in my courses? How can I design the link between future skills and subject-specific qualifications? How can I formulate intended learning outcomes (ILO´s) for future skills? How can I test future skills?
