Collaborative Research Centres (SFB)
Collaborative Research Centres (SFBs) are temporary (lasting up to twelve years) university research centers in which scientists and researchers work together within a cross-disciplinary research program. Projects from several universities and other institutions can be included.
Freie Universitaet Berlin hosts 9 SFBs and participates in 13 others. In addition, Freie Universitaet is involved in 4 SFBs through Charité-University Medicine, Berlin.
