Informational series on Freie Universität Berlin’s digitization strategy

Which digital applications will we be introducing to support administrative processes at Freie Universität in the future? What are we planning for the short- and medium-term, and what is our general direction?

As part of an informational event on July 10, 2023, from 12:00‒1:30 p.m., we will be presenting two digital tools related to personnel management: E-recruiting and electronic business trip management.

All employees and researchers at Freie Universität Berlin are invited to attend the online event. Of course, you will also have the opportunity to ask questions. The event will be accompanied by the Director of Administration and Finance (temporarily entrusted with the performance of official duties), Andrea Güttner; the Chief Information Officer, Professor Jochen Schiller; and the various heads of the ongoing digitization projects.

The informational session is going to be held in German. If this prevents you from being able to attend the event, but you would still like to learn more about the university’s plans in this area, please send an email to cio@fu-berlin.de. We will then make arrangements to provide additional information in English.

This event forms part of a new informational series on Freie Universität Berlin’s digitization strategy, the next installments of which will be taking place on August 28 and October 23. More information will be provided about these events on this page at a later date.
