Informational series on Freie Universität Berlin’s digitization strategy

Which digital tools will we be introducing to support administrative processes at Freie Universität in the future? What are we planning for the short- and medium-term, and how do we want to develop as we move forward?

The second event in our informational series on Freie Universität’s digitization strategy will take place on August 28, 2023, from 12:00‒1:30 p.m. (C.E.T.) This time, we will be introducing the IT Service Management Portal (ITSM Portal), an important outcome of the university’s FUtureIT project. This portal aims to provide a transparent, centralized overview of the IT services available at Freie Universität, illustrating how support processes are structured and organized across the newly created regional teams and FUB-IT as a whole. In the future, all university members – students, instructors, employees, guests, and alumni – will be able to use the ITSM portal to access all IT services at Freie Universität, as well as to ask IT-related questions or request IT services, e.g., a guest account. All employees and researchers at Freie Universität Berlin are warmly invited to attend the online event. Of course, you will have the opportunity to ask questions. The event will be accompanied by the Director of Administration and Finance (temporarily entrusted with the performance of official duties), Andrea Güttner; the Chief Information Officer, Professor Jochen Schiller; the ITSM team, and participants in the FUtureIT subproject “ITSM.” It will take place in German.
