Freie Universität Berlin offers numerous ways to support the stay of visiting researchers. If you plan to invite guest researchers, please also get in touch with your respective department which administers decentral funds for guest invitations provided by the Division of International Affairs.

Visits from international guests are funded to establish new partnerships and attract excellent international researchers in all phases of their academic career. Eligible applicants are senior researchers at Freie Universität Berlin.

• Test stays for (potential) doctoral candidates: stays of up to three month at Freie Universität Berlin to test the potential of international graduate students for doctoral work. General funding information for doctoral researchers can be found on the website of Dahlem Research School 

• Seed Funding for AvH Fellowship Applications: financial support for inviting potential AvH-Fellows to FUB to jointly prepare an AvH-Fellowship application

• Global Faculty Program: stays up to three months for guest researchers to promote international collaboration, regardless of their affiliation with FUB partner institutions

 

In addition, Erasmus+ partners can use the program for short-term teaching and training stays at Freie Universität Berlin.
