Set up in January of 2010, the Cairo Office of Freie Universität Berlin aims to increase academic and scientific cooperation between Freie Universität and universities and research centers in Egypt and the Middle East.
To achieve his goals, the Cairo Office

aims to attract promising talent from the region for a study or research stay at Freie Universität Berlin and informs students and scholars from the region about funding opportunities.

serves scholars and students of Freie Universität as contact point and offers them a forum in Cairo.

strengthens structured cooperation with our partners in Egypt and the Middle East.

organizes seminars and lectures, through which the Cairo Office aims to contribute to sustained academic exchange.
