News from Aug 07, 2023

What is it about?

The Uniwersytet Jagielloński in Kraków offers a PhD Winter School on the topic of "Heritage in Conflict / Heritage of Conflict" from 27 November to 1 December 2023. The program consists of lectures, panel discussions, workshops, and one-to-one seminars. The Winter School is dedicated to issues of heritage in conflict and heritage of conflict, considering four key aspects: heritage and types of conflicts; ways to preserve heritage before, during, and after war conflicts; securing heritage and documenting it by using digital tools; and challenges arising from the sustainable use and management of post–conflict sites for social, economic, and cultural purposes.
