The Chinese Vice Prime Minister Liu Yandong attended the meeting of the German-Chinese Forum for Higher Education, Research, and Innovation that was held at Freie Universität Berlin on November 25, 2016.
More than 60 university presidents, vice presidents, party secretaries, and Chinese delegates from both China and Germany as well as numerous high-ranking representatives from business and funding organizations met at Freie Universität for the meeting.
In the afternoon, visitors streamed in for the eagerly awaited remarks by the Chinese Vice Premier. In the packed lecture hall, which was decorated with bright red poinsettias, Liu’s visit brought a standing ovation.
