Presentation of Online Portal "Forced Labor 1939 – 1945"

Archive Containing Interviews with 600 Former Forced Laborers from Central and Eastern Europe Being Made Accessible in January, 2009

In January, 2009, there will be a new online archive on the subject of forced labor in National Socialist Germany. In addition, there will be a PC station in the German Historical Museum available for viewing selected interviews from the online archive.

The online portal "Forced Labor 1939 – 1945" is dedicated to remembering the more than twelve million forced laborers of National Socialist Germany. In detailed audio and video interviews, 590 former forced laborers from 27 countries relate the stories of their lives. The interviews are being made available in a web-based archive platform for education and research purposes.

Where: Auditorium in the Pei Building of the German Historical Museum
