Climate Change from a Meteorological and Interdisciplinary Perspective

Lecture Series on Climate Change / A Collaboration between Freie Universität Berlin’s Institute of Meteorology and the German Meteorological Society / First Lecture: November 8, 2019 at 5:00 p.m.

№ 327/2019 from Nov 05, 2019

The lecture series, organized by the Institute of Meteorology at Freie Universität Berlin together with the Berlin-Brandenburg Section of the German Meteorological Society, examines meteorological and interdisciplinary perspectives on climate change. The Meteorological Colloquium kicks off on November 8 with a podium discussion as part of Berlin Science Week. The panel will discuss whether the current approach of scientific disciplines with respect to climate impacts is adequate, or is science still acting in kind of a comfort zone? Scientists from natural and social sciences will meet to discuss past and present scientific approaches, their adequacy, and the need for interdisciplinarity in the face of progressing climate change. All events hosted by the Meteorological Colloquium are free and open to the public.
