As part of the university’s summer fest on June 23, there will be a fun run around Freie Universität Berlin’s Dahlem campus. Runners and walkers from all over are welcome to join, even if they are not university students or employees. Campus Run participants are divided into categories based on their age group and speed. Children under the age of 10 (born in 2009 or earlier) can do a 1000-meter run. Adults and adolescents can sign up for different distances: 5 kilometers, 7.5 kilometers, or 10 kilometers. Minors need written permission from their parent or guardian if they want to participate. Online registration is already open: www.campusrun-berlin.de, and the first 1000 participants to register will receive a free athletic t-shirt. The university’s summer fest will take place from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. and will be held on the square in front of the “Holzlaube” building, Fabeckstrasse 23/25, Freie Universität Berlin, in Berlin-Dahlem. The start and finish line are also located there as well as the awards ceremony following the races. The children’s race starts at 4:30 p.m. The other races start at 5:15 p.m.
