Two webinar sessions were organized by AiS on 27 November and 11 December 2020

The webinar series "Careers in Academia" aimed at AiS mentees looking for career opportunities in the German academic system. It consisted of two online sessions. The first one provided an introduction to the German research and innovation landscape as well as guidance to career development in German and European academia. It further addressed both the opportunities and challenges associated with a competitive work environment characterized by project funding and temporary employment contracts. The second session offered hands-on advice on job applications in German universities and other public sector research institutions. It covered a range of key issues, such as academic job search, approaching potential employers, writing letters of motivation, and preparing for job interviews.
