Two webinar sessions took place on 5 and 12 Feburary 2021.

The two-session webinar series “Careers outside Academia“ was aimed at AiS mentees looking for career opportunities outside the German academic system. The first session, “Career strategies and development planning outside academia”, meant to help participants assess their current position and career options beyond a classical academic track, reflect on their strengths and learning needs, as well as identify career goals outside academia, and develop a strategy for achieving them. The second session, “Applying for jobs outside academia”, looked to offer practical guidance on job applications outside universities and public sector research institutions, addressing key issues, such as job search, how to approach potential employers, writing a letter of motivation, preparing a non-academic CV, and tips for job interviews.
