Online Training 11. November 2022, 9:00-15:00

This training provided an overview of the German research funding landscape focusing on funding opportunities available to researchers at the postdoctoral stage. The participants practiced scenarios for different research settings to understand how to select and approach individual funding programs to build resources and capabilities for further career advancement. The group learned how to recognize the opportunities and challenges of external research funding, understand what makes a fundable research project, how to develop a competitive research proposal and to build a research grant track record. The training was organized by AiS in collaboration with BCGE and held by the research management consultant and business trainer Dr. Thomas Koch of academicfutures. It was funded by the International Department of Freie Universität Berlin.
