The workshop brought together eight members of the Academics in Solidarity network to discuss policy implications of the forced internationalization of higher education and research systems as well as restrictions to research and academic freedom in the context of war and self-exile. The workshop featured guest lectures by Dr. Muriel Asseburg (German Institute for International and Security Affairs, Berlin) on The Specifics of Policy Research and Policy Consulting in Germany and by Mr. Jos Boonstra (Centre for European Security Studies, Groningen) on Writing Convincing Policy Papers.
