The workshop brought together mentees and mentors of Academics in Solidarity across a variety of academic disciplines and research scopes between 4-6 July 2019. As part of its mission to enhance academic career development, the workshop offered training sessions with a special focus on strategic networking, the initiation of collaborative research projects and the mentoring process. The participants had the opportunity to briefly present their research and discuss it with peers, gain an overview of national and international research funding options, and elaborate first ideas for potential joint research endeavors.

Academics in Solidarity is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and the workshop benefited from the generous support of the Stifterverband für die Deutsche Wissenschaft under the Initiative “Integration durch Bildung”.
