On 18. and 21. February 2022, AiS held two online workshops for international scholars on career strategies.

The workshop held by Dr. Anke Soemer aimed at helping Scholars-at-Risk to assess their current position and reflect their career goals. It provided an overview of the German research and innovation system and addressed both the opportunities and challenges associated with consolidating an academic or research career in Germany. It also raised strategic issues in career development, such as intersectoral mobility. The workshop was designed to facilitate career decision-making in a highly competitive work environment characterized by project funding and temporary employment contracts.
