Webinar sessions were organized by AiS on 22, 28 and 29 January 2021.

The webinar series "Research Funding" aimed at at-risk and displaced scholars looking for research funding opportunities in Germany and internationally. The first part of the series, titled “Developing a research funding strategy”, centered on clarifying medium- to long-term research goals of the participants and identified ways to realize them. It provided guidance on exploiting research funding opportunities offered by German and selected international funding agencies to build resources and capacities for further career advancement. The second part “Applying for research funding” offered hands-on advice on preparing competitive research proposals. It covered key issues, such as what makes a fundable research project, understanding the evaluation process, and structuring the case for support. The webinars were offered to separate groups of researchers from social sciences/humanties and STEM backgrounds.
