Call for Applications: BCGE Online Training "Research Collaboration with Partners in the "Global South" – Opportunities and Best Practices"

This training is organized by the Berlin Center for Global Engagement (BCGE). It will be held on 26–27 November 2020.

News from Oct 05, 2020

While the importance of international research collaboration is undisputed, research project implementation between partners in Europe and the “Global South” can often turn out challenging on multiple levels. This course provides a platform for exchange of experiences on how to circumvent and work through issues such as poor internet connectivity, political instability and discrepancies in research capacity. Participants will gain a more comprehensive understanding for project planning in challenging contexts, be able to balance expectations and plan for realistic outcomes of their collaborative research projects. Explicit discussion points will rotate around participants’ specific use cases, questions and experiences. We will compile recommendations, best practices and guidelines for mutually beneficial research collaborations.

BCGE is organizing this training as part of the Berlin University Alliance targeting members of Berlin universities. Applications will be accepted until 4 November, 2020.
