Programs of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation

Through research scholarships and research awards the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation allows for the funding of research projects. The Foundation mainly offers funding in the natural sciences to Post-Docs so that they can conduct their research project. However, special funding for the humanities and social sciences has been established. European Research Council Research Scholarships

Through their funding projects in the fields of the humanities and engineering, the European Research Council gives researchers and engineers the possibility to realize their research projects. Researchers from all branches of research and all nationalities can be funded on the condition that their research project is conducted at private or national institutions within the European Union. Funds from the Center for International Cooperation (CIC) of FU Berlin

CIC promotes the development and funding of new international projects in research and teaching at Freie Universität Berlin through numerous funding opportunities from the Excellence Initiative.
