On behalf of the organizers, the Cairo Liaison Offices of Freie Universität Berlin, the University of Marburg and the Technical University Berlin and funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD/COSIMENA), we are pleased to invite researchers, young scientists and interested entrepreneurs of all fields in Egypt to participate in the Egyptian-German Research Matchmaking Event, taking place in Cairo on September 17th, 2024. This event aims to foster collaboration and exchange between researchers from Egypt and Germany, providing valuable insights and opportunities for future partnerships.

Agenda Highlights:
• Information Session: An informative session on funding opportunities available for research collaboration between German and Egyptian researchers
• Panel Discussion: Egyptian and German professors will discuss their experiences in project funding, highlighting both the opportunities and challenges involved in cross-cultural research collaborations
• Thematic Workshops: In the afternoon, interested participants can attend one of three specialized workshops. As spaces are limited, interested participants must indicate their research background and motivation for attending their chosen workshop during the registration process.

Next Day Special Opportunity: On the following day, September 18th, there is an opportunity for Egyptian professors to host a visiting German professor at their campus, faculty, or research facility. If you are interested in arranging such a visit, please indicate this in your registration and ensure that you are prepared to handle the necessary permits for the visit.
