The fellowships are funded by an Einstein Visiting Fellowship for Prof. R. Jay Wallace, who will be pursuing research in Berlin on the topics of relational normativity in ethics and on promissory obligation. Candidates should have broad competence in moral and political philosophy, and a special interest in the issues that will be the focus of Prof. Wallace's research fellowship. They will be expected to pursue an independent dissertation project in the general area of moral philosophy at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin or the Freie Universität Berlin under the primay supervision of a faculty member at one of those institutions.
