Jul 14, 2020 | 04:00 PM

The Information session will take place online on Tuesday, 14th July from 4pm to 5.30pm. Deadline for registration is Monday, 13th July.

The Cairo Liaison Office in cooperation with the Department of History and Cultural Studies of Freie Universität Berlin are delighted to announce the upcoming Information session about the newly introduced master degree program on “Interdisciplinary studies of the Middle East” (ISME). The Information session will take place online on Tuesday, 14th July from 4pm to 5.30pm.

ISME is a two-year, full-time master’s program taught in English and brings together six disciplines – Arabic Studies, Iranian Studies, Islamic Studies including Islam in Europe, Jewish Studies, Semitic Studies, and Turkic Studies – to approach the Middle East from a multi-disciplinary perspective.

The program allows you to learn and apply new methods that take into account the diversity of languages, literatures, societies, religions, and cultures of this region and to gain a new understanding of the many ways in which they have become intertwined throughout their rich histories.

The academic advisors of the program – Prof. Dr. Lukas Muehlethaler and Victoria Mummelthei – and the head of the Cairo Liaison Office will be happy to inform you about Freie Universität Berlin and ISME and answer all your questions around the program, the application process, the visa regulations and any further questions you might have.

If this sparked your interest to find out more about this program, please make sure to register here till Monday, 13th July. The login data will be sent to you on Tuesday morning.

This information session is held in the frame of the “Study and Research at Freie Universität Berlin Webinar Series” organized by the Cairo Liaison Office of Freie Universität Berlin! Stay tuned to find out more about our programs!

Looking forward “seeing” you online!
