The Center for Areas Studies (CAS) welcomes fellows within the ‚Postdoc International Program‘ (POINT) designed by the Dahlem Research School (DRS) at Freie Universität Berlin. Its purpose is to address international competences in the career of junior researchers by encouraging highly-qualified postdoctoral candidates from abroad.

CAS serves as a platform for international fellows to carry out the respective research projects and to develop new research focuses.

Each fellowship is designed for a period of 18 months to support postdoctoral researchers in the realization of predefined research projects in line with the university’s institutional strategy. POINT fellows are expected to apply for funding for follow-up research projects at Freie Universität Berlin. The program provides professional advisory, especially for submitting applications for funding.
