In his study, "Crisis Poetics", Sean Bonney will examine the ways in which experimental and avant-garde poets have responded to the various social changes in the US following the financial crisis of 2008. By a combination of interview and traditional textual analysis, he will discuss the roles poets have taken in contemporary social movements, and argue that poetics as such has a unique and as yet unacknowledged intellectual contribution to make to our understanding of such movements.
