The Late Pre-Roman Age and Early Roman Period ethno-cultural frame from eastern – Carpathian areas is extremely complex, as recent archaeological discoveries revealed so far: three cultural groups Poienesti-Lucaseuca, Geto-dacian and Lipica are far from being clarified.

Historic and cultural realities from this space have drawn the attention of many researchers, who made in over eight decades an important bibliography in which several aspects characteristic to the 3^nd Century BC – 1^st Century AD in this space were investigated.

Until now there is no monographic study dedicated to eastern-Carpathian settlements dated between the End of the 3^nd Century BC and the 1^st Century AD. For this reason we intend to realize an exhaustive study of all these sites.
