Antje Sroka grew up in the eastern part of Germany and studied sociology in Jena during a time of great changes in German society. After travelling the world for a while, she received her Master‘s degree in Americanistics and German literature from Tübingen University.

She started teaching German as a foreign language in Chico, California, and has since then taught in Tübingen, Berlin, Sri Lanka and India. Additionally, she studied theater pedagogy and drama therapy and gives theater workshops. Antje has been working as a language instructor at Freie Universität Berlin since 2013.
