Chemical bottles

Partly >>> glass, partly >>> special disposal via Sustainability & Energy Management Unit

Original chemical bottles are made of container glass, which is generally suitable for glass recycling. Provided that chemical bottles have been emptied of residues, rinsed or outgassed, i.e. no hazardous substances are present, they can be disposed of as used glass. Before this, however, any hazardous substance labels must be made unrecognizable. This can be done by removing or pasting over the label or by painting over it with a thick felt-tip pen or spray paint.

CAUTION: However, if residual hazardous material labels cannot be removed, the chemical bottles must be disposed of through the Sustainability & Energy Staff Office, Special Disposal Team.
