Covid-19 test-waste

>>> Residual waste

The waste generated by Covid-19 rapid tests (SARS-CoV-2 antigen tests), such as test sticks, test cassettes and sampling tubes, can be disposed of in the residual waste. They are not biohazardous per se and do not differ significantly from a used paper tissue in terms of their hazardousness. In order to exclude further contact for other persons, it is nevertheless advisable to pack the above-mentioned waste in a plastic bag, (e.g. the test kit original plastic bag). Then tie the bag in a knot or secure it in some other way to prevent the contents from slipping out (e.g. with some staples) and dispose of it in the residual waste.

ATTENTION: Paper slips or folding boxes can of course be recycled separately from the above-mentioned residual waste and be put in the waste paper bin.
