Floppy disks without confidential content can be disposed of in the residual waste. In view of the small total quantities of floppy disks to be disposed of, the expense of a separate internal university collection infrastructure cannot be justified.

ATTENTION: Diskettes with confidential content must be sent for secure destruction in accordance with the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG).

The collection takes place in lockable containers, which will be provided on request. If required, please contact the Sustainability & Energy staff unit, Special Waste Disposal team.
