Foils made of all types of plastic and also of metal (e.g. Christmas wrapping paper) as well as foil composites are disposed of in the yellow garbage can. The same applies to plastic bags, plastic pouches, etc.

Based on the Packaging Ordinance, the yellow garbage can is designed in principle for packaging waste. In Berlin, however, the yellow garbage can is operated as a so-called recyclables garbage can. This means that waste of the same material that is not covered by the Packaging Ordinance may also be disposed of in the yellow garbage can.

ATTENTION: However, large quantities of foil waste from the construction sector must be disposed of by the contracted construction or trade companies in cooperation with the construction manager(s) from the technical department responsible for the respective construction project.
