Metal cooking pots or metal pans, even if they are enamelled, can be disposed of in the yellow bin.

Based on the Packaging Regulation, the yellow bin is designed for packaging waste. Those can be, for example, tin cans made of tinplate. In Berlin, however, the yellow bin is operated as a so-called recycling bin. This means that waste of the same material, which do not fall under the Packaging Regulation, can also be disposed of in the yellow bin.

ATTENTION: Please collect larger quantities of recyclable metal materials together with electrical and electronic waste separately, as the waste disposal company grants compensation for them. If necessary, please contact the Special Disposal Team of the Sustainability & Energy Unit.
