Small amounts of organic-based animal bedding (e.g. sawdust) can be disposed of as organic waste. Since only a few of Freie Universität's properties are currently equipped with organic bins by the Berliner Stadtreinigung (BSR), in many cases unfortunately the only option is to dispose of the organic waste in the residual waste bins.

ATTENTION: If, for example, animal bedding is regularly produced in large quantities in veterinary medical facilities, it is collected in manure pits and disposed of via the Sustainability & Energy Office, Special Disposal Team.
