Coated paper

>>> Yellow bin

Coated paper is not suitable for waste paper recycling. The best-known example of coated paper is probably the Tetrapak beverage carton. Other examples are the silver paper from a cigarette box or the bags in which loose tea is often offered. Such papers should be disposed of as composite material in the yellow garbage can.

ATTENTION: However, if it is only printed paper, recycling via the waste paper collection is preferable. Inks and varnishes can be dissolved from the waste paper in the recycling process during so-called de-inking.
