You can access the internet at FU using mobile devices if you

• have a valid ZEDAT account (FU members)

or

• belong to an institution that is part of the Eduroam network

Log-in assistance (in German)

All other users can log-in to the Thin Clients in the library using their library cards and may use the internet.

Access to the internet is not possible without logging in.

Notebooks / laptops

Notebooks / laptops can be used at the library as long as they operate silently. All system sounds must be turned off and the speaker set to silent. Headphones can be used as long as there is no disturbance to the surroundings.
Usage of these devices is not permitted in the laptop-free zones.

Theft prevention: Safety brackets for steel cable locks

Please do not leave your notebook unattended without safeguarding it – lock it up: All reading areas in the right half of the library (as seen from the entrance) are equipped with safety brackets. The brackets are located behind the workplace lamp. Standard steel cable locks can be threaded through to secure your notebook.
