Stack requests at the Philological Library

• Media with catalog mark Stack request can be requested online (library portal Primo).
• Items requested from the stacks are generally made available at the circulation desk within 1 hour.
• Rare Materials that require authorization will generally be provided on the next business day. (e.g. rare books)
• Holding period for pick-up: 5 business days

Orders From Closed Stacks at the University Library

Books and journal volumes marked "Magazin" or "Außenmagazin" have to be requested. The button for hold requests in Primo is visible after signing in.

At the University Library, delivery of orders from the closed stacks takes 1 hour maximum. Requests after 18:00 are delivered only on the next opening day. Items from the remote stacks (Außenmagazin) are delivered only on the next opening day about noon.

Items that are waiting to be picked up will be held available for loan for five opening days at the circulation desk or reading room. The precise date is indicated in your Primo Library Account.

Items that are out on loan can be reserved. When they are available for loan, you will be informed.
