Overdue fines
If the loan period is exceeded, a reminder to return the books and/or media will be sent per e-mail. The reminders are subject to charges.
The overdue fines for each item is
1.50 Euros for the 1st reminder,
2.50 Euros for the 2nd reminder,
7.50 Euros for the 3rd reminder.
The 3rd reminder is sent out by registered mail with acknowledgment of receipt or by another delivery method.
The overdue fines are due with issuance of the reminder. A reminder will be sent out for overdue media up to three times.
Replacements can be purchased at the users expense for items that have not been returned after three reminders irrespective of the user's remaining obligation to return the item. Handling fees for procuring a replacement can be charged in accordance with the fees regulations of Freie Universität Berlin libraries.

The MensaCard of the Studierendenwerk Berlin is valid at the following locations: HU, TU, UdK, Ev. Hochschule.
Tip: Write down your card number. This allows you to block them in case of loss and prevent further debits.
