ProValid „Program to promote the validation of research results“

The object of the funding is the application-based further development of results from (basic) research to improve possible exploitation options. Funding may include the following activities:
- Verification of technical feasibility (e.g., further technical development, prototype development, testing of possible production processes),
- Proof of basic applicability (e.g., identification of applications, adaptation to different application contexts, acceptance tests among producers and users),
- Proof of economic potential (e.g. market potential analyses, search for exploitation partners, development of business models),
- Patent analyses and patent protection (e.g. patenting, analyses of the property rights situation).
Target group:
Scientists of all career stages.
Requirements:

The project idea results from a (basic) research project and indicates an initial innovation and exploitation potential.

The research project and its results must be economically, ecologically or socially sustainable.

The project is to be carried out in Berlin.

Suitability of the project team, the planned approach and the instruments for the identification of exploitation-relevant research approaches.
Funding conditions:
The funding takes the form of project funding.

Project duration: 12 months | 100,000 euros

Project-related personnel, material and travel expenses, expenses for participation procedures, as well as subcontracts to third parties for, for example, expert opinions and training.
Application:
Applicant is the university.

Submission at any time; last submission by Dec. 31, 2023
