Once a year, the Industrial Research Foundation and Berlin's universities search for young scientists with original and practice-oriented ideas and solutions that have emerged from their innovative basic research as part of the "Forum Junge Spitzenforscher" science competition.

The central questions of this year's forum are which new possibilities and technologies are made possible by artificial intelligence. Which implications and dangers are associated with it. With application-oriented strategies, concepts and solutions from the scientific community, the forum wants to offer a showcase in which the current state of research on artificial intelligence is scanned for the innovations of tomorrow.

I would like to invite you to participate in our event as a guest. This year's keynote will be held by Dr. Richard Socher, CEO SuSea and former chief scientist at Salesforce, and the 6 finalists* will present their research projects to a top-class jury of experts from the industry. This is the ideal opportunity to get to know young scientists and to network with experts from research and business.

Due to the ongoing pandemic, the final event will take place in a virtual format. With the 3D event environment and avatars we want to digitally preserve the network character of the forum.
