Once a year, the Industrial Research Foundation and Berlin's universities search for young scientists with original and practically relevant ideas and approaches to solutions that have emerged from their innovative basic research as part of the "Forum Young Top Research" science competition. This year, the focus is on the future of materials and materials production.

Young scientists from all disciplines can apply: PhD students, postdocs and research associates, junior professors and senior physicians. Participation is possible as an individual or as a team.

The researchers of the six best submissions will be invited to pitch their application idea in the competition final in front of an audience and a jury of business experts. The prize is up to €10,000 per idea.
