This time, Christian Czychowski, specialist lawyer for information technology law, will use practical examples to explain important questions concerning copyright and patent law in the IT environment: What protection options do copyright and patent law offer, especially for software? What is to be considered in particular when using software? Furthermore, the limits of this protection as well as exploitation possibilities are shown. Finally, it is explained what has to be considered when using open source components in one's own software. The lecture is supplemented by practical examples.
