PhD Workshop: Sustainable Development Research

PhD Workshop: Sustainable Development Research

News from Sep 22, 2021

Early career sustainability researchers (PhD candidates or Post-docs) are invited to apply for the PhD Workshop “Sustainable Development Research – an Interdisciplinary Chance or Challenge?”. The PhD workshop is part of the UAS Conference 2021 organized by the University Alliance for Sustainability. Both the conference and the PhD workshops will be held online and supported by an interactive conference platform.

The workshop is open for participants from UAS partner universities (FUB, Germany; UBC, Canada; PKU, China, HUJI, Israel and SPBU, St. Petersburg) as well as from Una Europa partner universities (Freie Universität Berlin, Università di Bologna, University of Edinburgh, KU Leuven, Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Uniwersytet Jagielloński in Kraków, Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and Helsingin Yliopisto).

Interested PhD candidates from non-partner universities are also invited to apply. Places will be allocated on a first come first serve basis. There is no participation fee.

Participants will have the opportunity to engage actively in the research and management workshops offered in the framework of the UAS Conference.

The workshop offers a great opportunity to network with other early career sustainability researchers, gain state-of-the-art insights and develop new ideas for academic projects. Moreover, the two workshop sessions will include self-study training slots on key topics like research ethics, academic writing and publishing. Digital live sessions will take place on November 4 and November 10, 2021. Between the two sessions there will be a group work and a self-study phase.
