Dr. Maja Göpel, Secretary-General of the German Advisory Council on Global Change (WBGU), will be a keynote Speaker at Spring Campus 2018. The German federal government set up WBGU as an independent, scientific advisory body in 1992 in the run-up to the Rio Earth Summit. WBGU publishes flagship reports every two years, making its own choice of focal theme. In addition, the German government can commission the Council to prepare special reports and policy papers. In her talk Dr. Göpel will tackle the topic “The Sustainable Development Goals as a Normative Compass for Science?’. We look forward to seeing you at FUB on April 9!
